Reflecting on the remarkable journey and overall performance of the UJ squads throughout the 2026 season, Head Coach Bongiwe Msomi shared her pride:

“I feel like I won a lotto jackpot – what a weekend! UJ1 took home a gold medal, and the UJ Males team won silver. I am also proud of how the OANC team for fighting until the end in that bronze medal match. Missing the bronze by 1 goal, with only eight players in the tournament? I am proud of the team and my colleagues Tasneem Casoojee who coaches the team,” Msomi said.

Msomi also congratulated her home team Hammersdale Sunbeams who won a silver medal in the KZN Netball League on the same day.

UJ male players also walked away with GNSL individual awards, including;
