Unit 14’s work featured at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale

Unit 14 is proud to have a selection of its work included in the Japanese Pavilion of Venice Architectural Biennale 2018. The pavilion is curated by Momoyo Kaijima of Atelier Bow-Wow, Laurent Stalder and Yu Iseki. Titled ’Architectural Ethnography: Portraits on Livelihood’, the purpose of the exhibition is to build platforms for active discussion of ecological issues in architectural and urban theory and visualisation of the 21st-century architecture. From hybrid buildings in high-density cities to spaces used for urban-rural exchange, the exhibition introduces a comprehensive collection of unique architectural speculations that are not dominantly defined by the architectas-creator, but instead that are fitted into their local contexts in Tokyo and globally. The Unit’s work will feature alongside 40 research projects across the world. The exhibition is open from May 26 to 25 November 2018.
