Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane, accompanied by Members of the Executive Council (MECs), will on Wednesday, 22 May 2013, visit the University of Johannesburg’s Kingsway and Soweto campuses.
The purpose of these visits is to share the long term vision of the province ( Vision 2055) with young people, and to engage students on the issues of skills development, unemployment, intake of graduates by government in a bid to decrease a number of unemployed graduates.
During the visits the students will be given an opportunity to engage the Premier and MECs on issues affecting them and challenges they might be experiencing.
This engagement is the first in a series of engagements that the provincial government will have with Institutions of Higher Learning in the province.
