The University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) Senior Director: Campuses, Dr Joe Manyaka has been installed as the President of the Higher Education Facilities Management Association (Hefma). Dr Manyaka was voted as President-Elect in 2013.
Prof Manyaka looks forward to the term ahead: “This is an exciting and motivating responsibility put on my shoulders and with the type of team/members within the Executive, we will strive to work hard and give the association our best attention. This presents a challenge and learning possibilities at the same time getting to know what is happening in other institutions besides one’s own institution.”
This industry nod is testament that as the international university of choice, UJ boasts leaders who transform and serve the community. This is a noteworthy reflection of Dr Manyaka’s leadership influence, visibility and stature.
HEFMA focuses on the development and maintenance of high quality standards in the management, operation, planning and utilization of the physical infrastructure of higher education institution campuses.
