The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has noted with contempt that a Palestine news and information agency has published an incorrect and baseless report alleging that UJ recently resolved to forbid Israeli academics and students from coming to UJ or collaborating with UJ researchers.
This statement, which the agency attributes to the Palestinian Ambassador to South Africa, is completely false and has no basis in truth.
The University is seeking contact with the leadership of the Palestine news agency concerned and with the Palestinian embassy in order to request the immediate retraction and removal of the false report from all media platforms.
