UJ Paralympian scoops bronze in T37 long jump

Andrea Dalle Ave competed at the World Championships and received a bronze medal in the T37 class for long jump with a leap of 5.77m, on Thursday, 20 October 2015. The current University of Johannesburg (UJ) student enrolled for Advanced Certificate in Business Management was recently named the 2015 Gauteng Sportsman of the Year with a disability winner.

UJ’s top athletes with disabilities made a strong showing at the 2015 Gauteng Sports Awards, which took place at the Silverstar Casino in Johannesburg on Sunday, 11 October.

The University’s Para-Rowing team claimed their second consecutive Sports Team of the Year Award.
