The Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) in strategic partnership with the University of Johannesburg (UJ), will lead the establishment and launch of the PSETA–UJ Public Sector Skills Planning Research Observatory, an initiative aimed at strengthening public sector research, generating critical labour market intelligence, and advancing evidence-based policy and skills planning in South Africa.
Anchored within UJ’s Centre for Public Policy and African Studies at the Johannesburg Business School (JBS), the Observatory will drive high-impact research, forecasting and analysis to support public service reform and contribute to building a capable, ethical and developmental state.
The launch will be officiated by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Minister Buti Manamela, who will deliver the keynote address and formally unveil the Research Observatory.
