The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Cricket Club Manager and Coach, Siyabonga Sibiya, to head the country’s Youth Development Programme. This comes after he led the senior national team as their interim red ball coach in December 2024.

Sibiya left an indelible mark on the Pakistan national team and the PCB when the senior men’s team played the South African Proteas at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on Boxing Day.
“Exciting times ahead and a great opportunity to grow and experience things in a different setting. It is always a good thing that we can impart the knowledge we have and also learn from our international colleagues in the sport,” says Sibiya.
He jetted off to Pakistan on Wednesday, 15 January to embark on this mission at Karachi until 12 February 2025.
Coach Sibiya and current UJ cricket player Martin Khumalo became the latest to be appointed into various franchises earlier this year.
