On Tuesday 26 April, eight of the 15 teams competing in the final round of the South African leg of the global 2016 Microsoft Imagine Cup, will be fielded from the Academy of Computer Science and Software Engineering (ACSSE) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
All the UJ teams are entered in the Innovation category or the World Citizenship category of the competition. The final round takes place from 8am to 8pm at the CSIR Convention Centre in Pretoria. The winners will be announced the same evening.
UJ’s ACSSE teams have had several wins in the last few years in the Imagine Cup. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 ACSSE produced the SA winning team, and in 2013 and 2015 the SA winning team in the Innovation Category.
