Professor Ndangwa Noyoo from the University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) Department of Social Work presented a paper Social policy after two decades of democracy in South Africa: A call for social re-engineering?, at a Sociology, Anthropology & Development Studies seminar on Wednesday, 13 April 2016.
Prof Noyoo stated that a transformative social policy has a better chance of “re-engineering” South Africa and in fact could put the country on the path to becoming the “good society”.
He articulated some of his argument on the Johannesburg radio station Power FM’s Power Hour Programme.
