The University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) Global Engagement Recruitment Team recently embarked on a strategic mission to Tanzania, visiting eight leading international schools in Arusha and Dar es Salaam. The initiative aimed to showcase UJ’s diverse academic offerings and strengthen the university’s global footprint by attracting top international talent.

During the visit, the team engaged directly with school administrators, teachers, and learners, presenting on study opportunities at UJ, support structures available to international students, campus life, and the university’s remarkable achievements over the past two decades. These schools follow globally recognised curricula, including the International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge IGCSE, Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Levels, and BTEC – all of which are accepted for entry into South African higher education institutions.
