This year (2021), the UJ Netball Club is open to anyone who has interest in netball (either as a player, coach, umpire, volunteer or technical official) and wishes to join the club to develop their netball skills and participate in local and provincial leagues.
According to Ms Bongiwe Msomi, Manager: UJ Netball Club, this idea was introduced to enhance the continuous development of the club in all areas. This includes, she says, working closely with the communities around the University and to improve the love of sport among students and community youth.

It also means that our new members get to have access to the UJ Netball Training Facilities (depending on the manager’s weekly bookings) and also to the University’s career guidance programmes cost free.”
The club is introducing its inaugural Club League on 22 March 2021. The tournament will be held at the Auckland Park Kingsway Campus netball courts and will be for the club members only.
