‘‘I took the courageous decision of furthering my academic studies in 2022 after taking a break for some time to focus on building my career in the industry. This chapter of my life taught me that we all want great things in life, until we know what it takes to get them. Juggling between working, doing life, and studying requires courage and discipline. Some of my highlights for the 2022 academic year includes being selected to go to the University of Botswana (UB) through the initiative of UJ Africa By Bus. This initiative exposed me to the history and beautiful country of Botswana and Batswana. Another key highlight from 2022 is the invitation I received to be a guest lecturer for the third year Public Relations and Communication students where I lectured about Measurement and evaluation of communications. This experience taught me the value of collaboration and sharing knowledge. One of my favourite authors, Robert Greene once said, “Mastery is not a function of genius or talent. It is a function of time and intense focus applied to a particular field of knowledge.”
