The Public Health Association of South (PHASA) is hosting their annual conference in Durban (eThekwini), on the east coast of South Africa. PHASA hosts an annual conferences, with the aim of engaging public health practitioners and interested people from around the country and world to share their experiences and research, discuss topical public health issues, and mentor public health students and young researchers.
PACER Director Prof Refilwe Nancy Phaswana-Mafuya will be hosting an organized session on “harnessing big heteregenous data for key populations to stengthen HIV response ahead of the 2030 deadline of ending the HIV epidemic” with a panel of Public Health experts. Two of SAMRC/UJ PACER EMU PhD students will also be presenting their research projects on the impact of COVID-19 on HIV services among key populations in South Africa at the conference.
