The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Sarah Makinta as the new Executive Director: Expenditure, with effect from 15th November 2016.

Before joining the University of Johannesburg, Ms Makinta served as the Director: Expenditure at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).

She has obtained a B. Com Accounting and Auditing degree at the University of the North- West in 1995; and is in the process of qualifying as a Certified Chartered Accountant for the ACCA.

Ms Makinta has membership to the following professional body, The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (International).

Ms Makinta comes with a range of competencies and skills, which underpins her ability to successfully streamline business processes and strategically guide the outputs of others. She has also completed an Effective Group Leadership Course, Leading with Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Resolution, which complements the fundamentals of management and leadership.

Ms Makinta has in her career taken up various senior roles.

She served on various Boards as an Audit Committee Member, Chaired the Bid Evaluation Committee at TUT, and is currently an ex-officio Member of the TUT BAC and Tender Committee Council.
