The Executive Dean of the UJ Faculty of Law, Prof Wesahl Domingo in collaboration with the UJ Alumni Office, will be launching a first of its kind for the faculty; the Law Alumni Affinity Group at an Engagement Breakfast on Saturday 7 May 2022.
This event is hosted to meet three goals:
- Serve as a networking platform for both alumni and the selected speakers
- Meet and liaise with the new Executive Dean
- Launch law affinity group
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) Alumni Network Affinity Groups are a means through which alumni can continue their association with the University by engaging with each other around shared professional interests, personal interests, or University experiences. These Affinity Groups are both professional and non-professional, complementing the work of our Alumni Network. UJ Alumni Affinity Groups are volunteer groups dedicated to celebrating connections, providing enrichment, and continuing UJ’s tradition of service with many offering networking, social gatherings, mentorship, seminars, and other means for alumni to stay connected to one another, including the University. Alumni Affinity Group members are given the ability to form their sub-communities within the broader UJ Alumni Network to share knowledge, collaborate and find other members with similar interests. Membership provides the opportunity to network, connect with new people (peer and industry professionals) and widen your social/professional networks and a host of other beneficial opportunities.
The Faculty of Law together with the Alumni Office is excited to host this event and meet with the great alumni who have made their impact felt in the different industries that they are now in and of course to reflect together on the tears and laughter of the UJ student experience.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the venue has limited capacity and will only allow alumni and/or guests with event tickets. To join the event virtually, please see link: Live Link
