“It has and will always be the greatest honour and privilege to wear the Namibian Eagle badge on my chest. I am forever grateful for every opportunity to play and represent my country, the land of the brave.

“Namibia recently appointed a new board, coach and a selection panel at the Union. Not being able to participate in the trails, I would only hope to be selected. I am thankful to be part of the UJ USSA team – this is where the coach saw me playing when she visited Cape Town during the tournament,” explains Kruger.

Kruger has been part of junior teams that represented Namibia. She made her international debut in 2018 during the African Youth games in Algeria. In the same year, she got her first senior team call up, 21 caps to date for the outdoor senior women’s team.

Kruger joined the UJ Hockey Club in 2020. She is currently enrolled for a Bachelor of Education for Senior and FET Phase second year student.

“Not everyone has the chance to play alongside their close family member, but we have made this work. We are inseparable and form a powerful combination on the pitch. It’s been a while since we played together, so I am excited to get on the pitch with Jivanka again,” says Kruger.
