Chairman of Independent Communications Authority of South Africa to engage on SA’s digital migration

​​​​​​​​Dr Stephen Mncube, Chairman of Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), will visit the Soweto Campus of the University of Johannesburg (UJ), on Wednesday, 25 May 2011, to engage with information and communications technology practitioners and policy analysts, entrepreneurs and academics on the government’s strategy on Digital Migration.

Dr Mncube will, among other issues, explain why South Africa is converting to the digital signal and what opportunities this strategy will hold for businesses in townships, rural areas and the youth and women.
Dr Mncube will be accompanied by high ranking officials of ICASA.
