Ms Diana Faseka has been a dedicated member of the Department of Geology for many years, consistently surpassing the typical expectations of her role. She has willingly taken on numerous additional responsibilities throughout her tenure to ensure the Department’s optimal functioning and the seamless operation of its academic activities.

Geological research frequently entails fieldwork in distant and remote areas, and Ms Faseka has demonstrated remarkable ingenuity and dedication in saving fieldwork and field experiments. Often working beyond regular hours and even on weekends, she has resolved critical issues such as arranging for replacement field vehicles when one breaks down and securing accommodations and sustenance for both staff and students in last-minute emergencies.

Ms Faseka’s extraordinary empathy for both staff and students is readily apparent. She willingly sacrifices her time to attend to their emotional well-being, serving as a trustworthy confidante for those in need. Her commitment to the Department of Geology frequently takes precedence over her personal comfort and needs, underscoring her unwavering dedication to the Department’s success.
